Is collecting typewriter addictive? I think seriously YES. You buy one, then you find another must have on eBay and another and another.....

I went all in with vintage cameras and I only have the one typewriter (for now) and it was in great condition when I got it and just needed a once over with polish to clean it up.

I can see how I would get into restoration like I did with cameras, I can see how enjoyable it would be. Then I look over at my wall of cameras and it reminds me to not go all in on something again.

Btw my camera collection ranges from 1898 through till current day with over 50 different models from various manufacturers
