Greetings TPP Fans!

djWHEAT here, and it is my pleasure to give you guys a quick update on the recovery process for the TwitchPlaysPokemon VODs after the accidental deletion which took place around September 5th. (For more information you can find our original Task Force thread here.

One month ago we informed you of our plans to recover the seasons of TPP which had been effected. Our initial plan was to start with Season 1, and prioritize the remaining seasons once that had completed.

The restoration has completed and here are some details of the finished project:

• All seasons have been recovered! Thanks to the incredible TPP Task Force at Twitch, we were able to complete Season 1 and quickly move to the rest. We initially thought this may take longer than it did, but our team of evolved Pokemen was able to create a script to quickly restore the remaining seasons.
• All thumbnails have been recovered! We ran into a slight issue with the restoration of thumbnails, and thought we were going to have to add generic assets for each individual season. The TPP Task Force was able to also restore the associated thumbnails for each video.
• Upon final tally, approximately 150 hours out of the 3000 total recorded hours could not be recovered. As we originally stated, there were a few archives that were unable to be recovered, but the expected 95% has been restored back to normal.

We’d like to thank the entire TwitchPlaysPokemon community for the help and assistance you have offered during this time. We appreciate your understanding and your support in setting up a TPP Task Force to resolve the issue!

We value TPP very highly in the history of Twitch, and we’re ecstatic that the legend will live on forever!
