Please pardon the rant here but figure 200-odd deaths series wide, not counting animals, disappearances, or tertiary deaths caused by misadventure or villains more than two steps removed from TP evil. Sure some souls were taken, but that's nowhere near Hitler levels of evil or even what notorious criminal organizations do in one year. It's about as bad as the world's worst serial killers like Luis Garavito or the Shipmans. Yes, the Lodge spirits did some weird cross-dimensional/temporal things. And yes, nuclear weapons are bad. But really, BOB only killed 6 (or so) people. Don't get me wrong, I love the series and it's a great drama and the stakes are just fine. But I don't see how Judy and BOB were an earth-shaking level of evil. In fact, the investment level of the Air Force and the rest of the FBI in the investigation seems about appropriate for a few murders, drug trafficking and maybe some corruption causing weirdness. Like an ABSCAM or Enron.

Judy and BOB seem like an important investigation, involving some deaths, but not on a 9/11 level. You can't have holes in reality floating around, but we're not going to shut down ComEd over a few hundred people (in fact about 300 people a year die from electrocution). I get that Jowday is supposed to be an "extreme negative force" but what's one misogynist trucker more or less? At least in the face of clearly worse (and wide awake) evils like Pol Pot.
