How do you make a grid of image links in Twine?

I'm using sugarcube 2.0 and twine 1.4
I have a big image that's been cut up into a grid of smaller images. i want the reader to be able to click on a sub-image and be taken to another page, and for the overall image to be displayed seamlessly, with no whitespaces between each sub-image
It would also help if I could somehow change the sub-image on mouse hover, or display text atop it.
Is there anything I can do to make this possible?
