Question for a KC guy coming to visit your city(s)!

Sorry if this is the wrong place (mods can delete this if they need) but I'm going to be visiting Minneapolis tomorrow and Friday to go to a Twins game/ visit the area. My question is that my dad wants to take me to the bars downtown and I have turned 21 and recently lost my physical ID. For the time being I have a paper ID provided by the Kansas DMV and my old drivers license (since expired) and my passport which I will be bringing so I get actually fly. Will bars in your city accept paper ID's or should I carry around my passport?
