The scenario being, one where a protagonist reveals to someone the pain they've been through, and it shuts down whatever animosity was being pointed at them.
The one example I can think of right now is from a kinda mid manwha called, "girls of the wilds".
The MC has a shit childhood, a neglectful and absent mother, and has to raise his two siblings all by himself while working or studying. He's had a bad experience with girls most of his life and is quite wary of them.
One of the rich girls at his school dislikes the MC, and goes out of her way to be a bitch to him. But eventually learns about his life and sees that he's struggling constantly to give his siblings a decent life. She turns around and starts helping him.
