Hi everyone! I'm in the market for a new laptop as my trusty 9 year old ThinkPad (T540p) is reaching the end of its lifetime. I've been eyeing the InfinityBook Pro 14 Gen 8 for a while now, but given that it's quite a big purchase for a grad student I'd love to read some reviews (both from users and if you have some professional reviews, I'd love to read them!). I'm specifically interested in battery lifetime, fan noise and CPU performance. I'm a PhD student in particle physics - I do a lot of simulation and programming work (main operating systems: Fedora, OpenSuse, Debian) and need to attend conferences every now and then so I need a reasonable battery life.
