A friend of ours has has a pair of Yellow belly slider turtles for about 7 years. They were bought for his daughter and he didn't realize how long they live. We were asked if we wanted them and would love to take them. But what I am trying to find out and plan on contacting FWC as well is, as these were previously owned from babies is it legal to have them as a pet not breeding? I know currently you can not take then from the wild or transport from the wild. But as these have never been anywhere but the tank they are in its this within the current fwc laws?
