Seeking Advice

Did some upgrades on this dude's tank. Got the filter y'all recommended and set it to aeration/ filter mode. Got a submersible heater that I only turn on at night since the water temps during the day stay between 78 - 80 degrees. Got a heating lamp and UVB light that I keep on during that and turn off at night. Got a bigger basking platform.

I know a I need a bigger tank, but that needs to wait.

Would to add some plants, at least plants that help clean the water. Please let me know what y'all recommended.

And maybe other animals like a snail to help clean the tank? Let me know y'all.
