Tl;dr: I know Turo pays ACV, but do they also deduct my deductible in situations where cars are stolen?
Full:
I should have put trackers in my cars, I didn’t and after about 160 reservations, it looks like one has been stolen.
Don’t feel bad for me, I knew the risk, I was being cheap. The car is also cheap (2012 VW Jetta purchased with almost 90k miles on it this summer. I think I paid $6k or $7k for it?).
I followed all of Turo’s policies in the TOS. It was a remote pickup, but I had the guest upload the license along with a selfie of him holding the license within 24 Hours of the ride starting. The license matches the info listed on Turo and is not expired.
My question: Fast forward 60 days down the line, Turo decides to pay me out for the unrecovered car. I know they pay ACV, but do they also deduct my deductible?
