Thoughts on a starter turntable (with built in amp)

Post Body

Hi folks, I've been thinking about buying another turntable one for my mother, she is into music and likes quality sound, I'm going to be gifting her a pair of Goodmans Maxim's tiny 8wpc vintage 60's speakers.
I have looked at finding compact/vertical amps etc.. but they can be a little costly then add the cost of a TT also.

So I've looked around and found a few Lenco models specifically that I can get a 2nd hand Lenco LS300 (£66) that has the built in amp and speaker spring terminals, it looks good, I could always upgrade the cartridge soon after.

Is this a good move? or has anyone any other suggestions that might be suitable for her? TT Amp/Speaker terminals?

if not I'll hold out and grab her something like a PL115 pioneer or similar, and try to find a suitable smaller amp to match.
