Why Turkish Vans are the superior cat
Post Body

So this is about my Turkish Van, Dennis, who keep in mind is only 7 months old. Still a kitten. Here are his accomplishments thus far:

  • repelled and deterred the constant attacks from the neighbors Norwegian Tree cats. They were attacking and harassing Nina, our 16 year old and cowardly Russian blue. He was 8 weeks when he got his first scar. And we tried to bring him in, he refused and instead hopped the fence to counter attack. they havent been back in a while.

  • has attacked every single dog who walks past our house, including 2 big chows. people shift to the inside of the road away from our house in case dennis is out prowling.

  • regularly spends times and eats food from neighbors, "patrols" everyones yards, he has a morning routine where he wakes up and does the rounds of his "realm" to inspect.

  • at 5 weeks, i unknowingly drove to 7-11 with him dug into the roof on my car. didnt make a sound.

  • regularly swims in neighbors pools and the cal-du-sac fountain.

  • will disappear for hours at a time, and re-emerge with a rat, lizard, toad, bird etc in his mouth.
