Driver side seat trim piece cracked 10k miles into ownership. Took it to the dealer and they said yeah we get this a lot. I’ll submit through warranty claims but sometimes it takes them 3-4 hours to approve. Waited 4 hours for it to be denied because it was not a manufacturers defect. How can this and the radio knob (which happened today as well) issue be posted about so much and it not be a manufacture defect? W
Edit: after an entire day wasted at the dealership and then telling me one price and charging me another, I called toyota and they said absolutely it should be covered under bumper to bumper and headquarters sent them a “dealer open” inquiry. I called up the dealer and they said I have to bring the truck back to them to submit the warranty claim again and it could take another 4 hours to get approved. WTactualF
Update- after another 4 hours at the dealership they are covering it under general warranty. Such a waste of time and effort when the dealer should have just done the right thing to begin with
