First of all I want to THANK every single one of you for all the information found in this sub. We have found the answers to soo many questions just by reading.

We went to our first consult about 6 months ago and was very impressed with the Dr. I had already lost close to 40 pounds initial starting weight was 258# and was 221# when we went. He made some notes talked to us a bit about what he would recommend, as the initial reason for going was a referral from our primary Dr, to see about the breast reduction to avoid another back surgery. He went over a few things that he could do, and we talked about adding the tummy tuck, or as he classified it for what we want done a full mommy makeover. His recommendation was the lift, a full TT with lipo. He said he would have to look at the details but thinks he can get the lift part covered by insurance then we can add on the others while already there.

He said to schedule a follow up when I got within 10 pounds of our goal (175#) and 2 weeks ago I hit 171#. I am ecstatic as this is a significant loss from my starting weight. While I do not have as much sagging skin as I thought I would I still hold a good bit of the flab up front. Some of our questions ow include what the entire procedure will address, more specifically what areas will be included in the lipo? Will this flatten out the mons area? or do we need to add something more specific to address that area? When we first discussed it with him, he said the lipo would be the flanks, and some around the lower back area. We are now wanting to see if that will also include the upper thigh as well. Does the regular tuck take care of the mons area at all? or is this something we need to specifically tell him we want?

We are prepared to pay for most of this out of pocket, but still hoping he can get some of it covered by insurance. We did not get a final quote yet, we hope to get that this visit. We are in the Anderson SC area, and not really sure what to expect as far as costs, as from reading here they seem have a big range. I know some of it will depend on what we get done as well.

Well hoping to hear some positive news from him on Monday, and see when I can get on the schedule. We are not too worried about recovery over the holidays as we dont usually travel much or anything. We know our friends would come visit us as so we dont have to go anywhere.
