18dpo. No complaints with surgery, healing just fine. It's just these doggone drains. Finally met the criteria for removal, but I have to wait until Thursday when I was originally told Wednesday (I asked what day last week for planning purposes due to the distance).
I broke down in tears.
I know its just an additional day but my mind was so set on Wednesday another day of being uncomfortable just killed my spirits.
As the swelling is going down, the sutures are poking me more and more. And the scabbing around the drains are trying to harden, making the area not as flexible when bending.
I have 3 drains so it's hard to wear anything other than front buttoned dresses. I want to shower. I want to wear pants. I want to be comfortable. I want to see my boo bear (I refuse to see him without a proper shower) .
I do count my blessings, as besides a c-section and wisdom teeth extraction, this has been my only surgery. Im seeing great results. It's better than I could ever imagine. My body hasn't looked this great in 20 years (I'm 39). The process from finding a surgeon, securing financing, and having the support from my family was wonderful and came with such ease.
It's just these doggone drains.
Just a little vent. Thank you. Good luck to all on their tummy tuck journey 💗
(please no negative comments, I just needed a safe space to vent. I feel a little better already 😌)
