Using Skinuva & Tape post TT

I'm 16weeks post TT and using Skinuva per my PS request. It rubs in great and I give it about an hour to dry, but I feel like it has to just rub off on my clothes, leaving me without any silicone on for majority of the day. I started putting the silicone tape over the incision about an hour after the Skinuva application and leaving it on until the next Skinuva application. Does anyone see any negative to this and have any suggestions? My scar is still pretty red, which is normal, but it is getting softer. Thanks in advance for any advise.
