Belly piercing post TT?

Anyone who got their belly button pierced after their tummy tuck, how long did you wait? My surgeon said it’s fine anytime I feel ready but to wait until the swelling is gone to know exactly for placement of the piercing or it could end up off centre. I had it pierced before surgery and can’t wait to have it done again with my new flat tummy. I don’t love my new belly button, I feel it’s too small and too shallow, so I think jewelry will help me learn to love it.
