Odd question: How strange is it for older people to get their foot in the door, career-wise?
Post Body
Bit of background. I turn 40 in a little under a month. I've done nothing but a combination of retail, inventory, IT, and strangely enough Administrative Management my entire adult life, and quite frankly I'm fucking done. I can't be stuck behind a desk anymore, and I've always had a passing interest in maritime careers - so, how oddball would it be for someone in my shoes to get his TWIC card, and apply as a non-experienced deckhand on a river tow-barge?
