Trans men and short man syndrome

Post Body

The terf/radfem idea that trans men are safer than trans women or cis men is dangerous and idiotic. I’ve seen cis women saying that trans men are more empathetic and less violent because they were once women unlike cis men and trans women. It’s clearly a transphobic statement with sexist stereotypes.

But one thing that isn’t talked about that much is how trans men can develop a form of short man syndrome. Some are outright sexist to women and despise them. Call it toxic masculinity and some trans men cling on to it to feel more masculine and to be recognized as a man to others. They think acting sexist to women makes a distinction between them to others to prove that they’re actually a man. Makes it even worse when they’re a gay trans man who is around sexist gay men and end up imitating it.

Just because most of us have or currently experience menstruation and was raised as daughters instead of sons doesn’t mean we’re all safe and soft. In fact experiencing these things as a trans man can cause a deep resentment towards women which is the exact opposite of what radfems try to claim.
