So, I've been playing trumpet now for about 5-6 years. My high school band has a chair system where if you want to raise chairs, you need to challenge the person above you. The person below me (Junior) recently requested a challenge and is scheduled next Wednesday. Basically, I don't practice, not sure if he does, but I really want to win. I need help with range, I can hit an B (Right above lines) and was wondering if there were ways to practice range. I also need help with phrasing, my music director loves phrasing so that would give me some points.
