I have been playing for half a year i suppose, making a deal with my school band director to learn it for the first semester, then joining my grades band the next semester, I joined it and theres this one part that goes to high e flat that I am trying to achieve, but cannot. I don't know if it is my embrochure or technique, Im just trying to hit it in general. If you have any tips, I would love it.
Time and muscle strength. It won’t happen overnight. Don’t push yourself either or you will injure yourself. Your technique will improve with practice. Practice the scale of the piece and work towards extending the range of the scale, incremental steps too the note will allow you to work your way up to it. Sustain the notes for as long as you can to build up the muscles in your mouth to hit those notes better each time.
Also try the arp of that scale so that you’re practicing moving between low mid and high notes.
There are lots of books available that help train for high notes, but don’t move above what you physically can’t do yet.
