Does anyone know if you can take two does from a single shot.

Instead of 4mg at a time can I take 2 mg at two different times from the same pen. I'm not asking if it's safe or advised.
I do not know if once I depress the pen and it starts injecting will the entire medicine be expelled or if I let off will the medicine stop and reload so it can be done again at another time.
