Does a Nonlinear Zelda Have the Means for A Quality Story?
Post Body

I've been worried about this nonlinear hype train everyone has jumped on, and what it means for the stories of future Zelda titles. I've noticed that the nonlinear games have very lackluster stories. Zelda one: Get triforce and save princess. FS: Get keys, save princess. ALBW's story, albeit a bit more complicated than that, was essentially the same. Get pendants, then master sword, then triforce, then save princess. Now, I understand the original Zelda was in the early days of gaming and the first three Zelda games along with all the handhelds up till the GBA era had very simple stories, but look at every game since then. All linear, all well written, quality stories. After all this, I've been left to conclude that since ALBW is from the 3DS, a system released very recently, it has shown that Nintendo either A: Can't make a nonlinear Zelda have a quality story or B: Didn't try as hard to create a story. I guess only time will tell. So until 2015, we can only speculate.

Note: Sorry for any errors, I'm on mobile and reddit is a bitch to use on mobile.
