So to start off with I’m a hardcore Zelda fan my first game was Ocarina of time and I’ve been a Zelda loyalist ever since getting all the big 3D games and beating them besides Skyward sword (I’m working on I lost my wii ) I was so excited for breath of the wild and got it felt utter and complete sadness and disappointment everything I loved about Zelda was gone the bombastic epic music , the cool unique dungeons that make me rage but we’re so satisfying when you beat them , the different shops , the cool gear you get from exploring , the fantastic story that keeps you going and wanting more the lore , whimsy and vibrant colors to be replaced with no music that’s memorable , no unique dungeons or areas instead we get a bunch of robots , no cool gear , and the story isn’t even a part but something you can collect it became a generic sandbox game with a Zelda skin, I was crushed but I thought okay on the next one hopefully it’ll be different and then I found out we were getting the sequel and the first trailer had me excited I thought maybe they listened to fans but seeing this teaser I feel crushed again no dungeons , same music and now we have to build I’d much rather swim over an ocean than build a boat and I don’t want cars in Zelda either. I just really hate this new direction and it doesn’t feel like Zelda I’m wondering if I should even buy it . I think I’ll wait to see if theres dungeons and story but if not I won’t buy it I don’t think. the first Zelda game I won’t buy never thought I’d say that I wonder if we vote with our wallet will we see more core zelda elements return just a thought because money talks. So maybe that’s what old school Zelda fans should do.
