I see so many people on this sub posts things like certain guys or races are too feminine to be liked. When women do in fact like feminine guys.
Male k-pop idols wear a crap ton of makeup. They make cutesy faces, talk in baby voices, and make heart hands . And guess what. Women eat it up. Not just Korean women, but globally.
Look at TikTok. Almost all the popular male creators are very “pretty”. Or actors, I’ve never heard a women call young leonardo dicaprio ugly.
Of course, there is a scale. Too feminine may me ugly. But I believe this sub and others like it overvalue Dimorphism. There is women who like masculine men, and there is women who like feminine men. Both are popular to almost every type of women. There is no “pretty girls like masculine”. It’s just a type thing. However, I don’t think men realize that majority of women find Jordan barett and Sean opry hideous.
Another factor is trust level. in the society we live in, women almost are forced to prefer feminine men. If someone like Jeremy Meeks were to ask a women out, she will probably be terrified. Trying to achieve that super masculine buff archetype will work against you.
Overall, I think we should stop discussing whether femininity or working against men because almost 100% it isnt. The idea of feminine men being “gay” is fizzling out. Yes if a man walks out with blue eyeshadow a mini skirt he will be seen as gay, but looking feminine is no longer thought to be. Most women won’t think you are gay, only men will.
I do know someone who has never found Leonardo Dicaprio attractive, she calls him Arnie to this day. My sister is the best.
I prefer effeminate with like a streak of masculinity, so can confirm
