How should I set up my array?
Post Body

I have a 24 bay enclosure but don't have all 24 drives yet. I plan on building on it overtime. I wanted to do a JBOD with a couple of hot swaps just in case, but I don't thing TrueNAS supports that. I'm not too worried about losing drives but I don't want to set it up in a striped. If I were to set it up in Raid Z1, could i add more disks to the pool later on down the road when I decide to add more disks? I couldn't find anything saying that it can't support more than 3 spinneys and 1 backup. For example: start out with 5 together and 1 backup.

Or am I just overthinking this? Long story short I just want windows to see one volume when I access the array, but I don't want a bunch of drives to be striped together. Trying to keep it down to a minimum in case of complete failure. I'm just trying to find the closest thing to JBOD as I can.
