Add a mirror drive to my pool after taking off a failing disk

Post Body

Hi there !

Sorry for the newbie question but I couln't find an exact answer anywhere else and I'm afraid of doing something bad if I just wing it.

I've setup Truenas at home with two pools each constituted of two disks, in Raid1.

And I was right to do so because disk 2 of Pool number 2 died entirely.

I've put in a spare drive and tried to replace the failed disk in the GUI. But the operation failed (I dind't undertsand the error message I got).

So I thought I'd go step by step into into it and removed the failed drive from the pool. So far so good, it's now a one disk pool with one raid0 drive.

But I don't understand where and how I can add my new disk to the pool and set it to mirror without having to delete and remake the whole pool.

And I'd very much like to know how because I will, for sure, have to expand the other pool sometime in the future in the same manner.

Could anybody give me pointers as to how I could do that ?

Thank you in advance for any help !
