After reading posts about Fallout 76, I want to know how people purchase video games? Blindly or informed?
Post Body

I’ve been reading up about some of the reactions to Fallout 76 and it’s very recent release. Some people are absolutely irate at the game being littered with bugs, empty of plot/story and not the greatest Fallout experience.

I do understand that the outcry is a great way to let the studio and developers know how people feel about the video game, in hopes that issues are going to get fixed. Some comments and criticisms I have heard and read seem to be that of surprise.

What I wanted to know is, do people research a game before they purchase one? Is there an element of blind purchasing that goes into it?

In relation to Fallout 76, I don’t know how people could not have heard about the foreseeable problems that this game was to have. A small amount of non-spoiler research, even Googling ‘Fallout 76’ in the News would show signs and alert you to what the game might entail. I think that showing a studio of developer that it’s unacceptable to release an unfinished game by not purchasing it would be more strategic.

Let me know your thoughts on the matter.
