Anyone use a Logitech f710 that can advise me?

So I am currently stuck playing ATS on a mid spec gaming laptop and picked up one of these on sale on eBay (new) and after spending an hour trying to map commands to the buttons / triggers I’ve got a consistent problem where the truck will continue to accelerate where I’m not touching anything. I set the left stick to steering and right to look around but it seems when to activate the retarder for some reason when I steer which I didn’t set. I can brake to a stop using the left trigger but it stays at basically full rpm and will then drive once I let go of the brake button. Long shot but does anyone have any ideas?
