I'm sure time is a mess for everyone else too.. im editing to change the dates based on some recent letters from my time there I found dated 2004-2005..

Or anyone in other cabins experience shutdown? Just had this memory come up and its painful to think about it would like to talk with anyone who went through it 💔 That was such an ungodly awful experience for close to two months, doing our scheduling in the dark without communicating because staff decided we weren't trying hard enough to get off shutdown and taunting us with shit like "I bet you all like shutdown, gives you a chance to be lazy and not actively participate in your treatment " well you all will be here longer for everyday this cabin is on shutdown you will all get extra days etc etc I was so depressed and ofc staff was like "only yall can fix this and get off shutdown " You know what you did and why you are on shutdown" Actually I dont think anyone ever figured it out or explained why one day they just came in and told us to circle up backs to eachother in the middle of the cabin all day every day until bedtime for months... (in case anyone doesn't know what cabin shutdown is) Mrs,Boone was THE WORST about taunting individuals 😒 knowing alll of everyones sore spots and picking and picking until eventually the peer would explode and hurt themselves or "go off" towards staff , sooo many restraints in our cabin during Shutdown, people just SNAPPED, I heard an airhorn recently and had a full on disassociative episode according to my husband, I just sat down didn't look up, didn't cry,didn't move, he said I was barely breathing... wonder where THAT response came from 🤔🤔🤔

Oh and one more thing, one day we were just off shutdown, could never figure out what we did "right" I think maybe staff got bored or thought because after we all pretty much started zoning out all the time and some became pretty unresponsive or couldn't stay awake physically, maybe they realized we were all going to not be "better" for the family day coming up.. it ended as quick as it began, one day it was get dressed to go outside and return to normal your off shutdown Lions. And we all just went about a normal day like we hadn't been isolated and slowly losing it as a cabin and individuals for two months 🙃
