Greetings, Hello r/Trigonometry ,

First of all, please allow me to welcome you to our first announcement thread. The purpose of this thread is to offer a place to allow for input from all Redditors on the items below, for this subreddit as it stands today (March 24th, 2021) for the next few days. Also, if you have any great trig jokes...

Please consider the comment section below, also, as a place to introduce yourself (if you like), and let us know what brings you here, or about your interest in matters related to trigonometry.

Secondly, We are looking to ask for some feedback from readers:

What changes would please you to see regarding this subreddit itself ?

This includes anything.. the types of posts you see, rules, etc. The purpose of this thread is to invite suggestions to help prioritize on possible work for future improvement. Feel free to comment with any constructive suggestions of a general nature.

Thirdly, We have had people expressing interest in becoming a moderator of r/Trigonometry. There is currently only one moderator, and we are looking to bring on more, also within the next few days.

Hopefully some readers of r/Trigonometry have moderated on other subreddits, have the time, experience, and would be willing to facilitate this subreddit. Primary duties of the team include setting the tone and direction of the subreddit, styles and various settings, policies, and applying their judgement to enforce rules of Reddit and r/Trigonometry.

If you have made at least one post or comment to r/Trigonometry prior to the day of this posting (Mar 24th), and are interested in volunteering to moderate here, then: please either comment on this post to (briefly) introduce yourself as you see fit, or send a modmail message to r/Trigonometry, and make sure you specifically mention your interest in moderating: tell us a thing or two about your abilities, experience, and share a thought about direction of the subreddit and what you would expect to contribute.
