Contractors had cut a hole in Church St earlier this week and "patched" it by packing it with loose gravel and calling it a day. Naturally, the gravel went everywhere every time a car hit it.
I submitted a work request to the town on Thursday evening. Jackie from Public Works called the next morning to let me know they would take care of it, and the pothole was patched (with asphalt) before the end of the day.
As much as people like to complain about local government sometimes, I think it's also important to recognize when they deliver excellent service. Thanks Jackie (and anonymous hole patcher)!
