(Acne) Tretinoin and Niacinamide MIXED together?
Post Body

Hi, my Tretinoin 0.05% cream is about to run out and I need to order some more.

This UK site Dermatica creates a tailored prescription.

It contains 0.05% tret and Niacinamide 4%.

I know the ingredients can work well however they are actually mixed together in one rather than applied at different times.

My concern is -

Since tret is presumably the main active in there for treating acne, doesn't the presence of the Niacinamide slightly reduce the effectiveness of the tret

I just feel like Id be applying less Trer overall

P.S. I've been on tret for 4 months for severe acne - not anti ageing (im 21)
