Itchy raw skin rash on skin folds

Just started using tretinoin 0.05% on my whole body just about a month ago and i noticed that im getting rashes in skin folds like in my armpits, the folds in my arms and my neck. I put cetaphil moisturizer after every application of tret. Is this normal? im stopping tretinoin hoping it would calm down.
