Scalp exercise

Hey guys. For a long time I've been battling my thinning hair, and for the most part losing the battle. About a year and a half ago, I went into panic mode and tried the big 3. No love. A lot of sides. And still had thinning hair.

Then about a year ago, I remembered that as a young kid I used to wiggle my ears a lot. And I started doing it, just for fun, then I noticed that my scalp muscles got tired pretty quickly. At that point I realized that my scalp muscles were probably out of shape, just like any set of muscles that is used infrequently.

This whole thought process eventually led me into doing research into the musculature of the scalp. I found that wiggling your ears is essentially this: you contract the frontalis muscles at the front of your scalp, then release and contract the occipitalis muscles located at the back of your scalp.

I've been doing scalp exercises nightly now for the last 8 months or so. One rep consists of a frontal contraction followed by an occipitalis contraction. It's kinda like you're rocking your scalp back and forth. I do three reps of 20 contractions, for a total count of 60. After sixty, if my scalp muscles aren't too sore (and often they are), I push on and do another ten or so. This set of exercises increases blood flow to the scalp, increasing the amount of oxygen delivered to the follicles.

My hair is thicker and stronger than it's been in a long time.

Now, obviously I can't be sure that this is due entirely to my new regimen of scalp exercise. It could also be the fact that I've stopped using commercial shampoos and now solely use a natural DHT-blocking shampoo bar instead. But I really feel that these scalp exercises are helping. My hair looks thicker and better than ever. I wanted to pass this along to you guys to get your take on this. Maybe it can help. Are any of you are doing this too?
