Can finasteride crash your test after stopping finasteride?

After reading up on finasteride and if it can affect muscle growth I stumbled upon a comment on this sub stating that finasteride can cause your test to crash after you discontinue use of finasteride, similar to how people who abuse steroids no longer produce natural testosterone after discontinuing testosterone?
Anyone here knowledgeable on this and know if this is just an over exaggeration or it’s truthful?
If it matters, I am only considering topical finasteride.
