Basically I'm looking for a 1 bedroom apartment and many of the listings are for basement apartments, some with the landlord living above you...

Today I saw a place (With a side entrance, have to walk through house to get to apartment) and asked "If I burned something while cooking, would you smell it upstairs?" The response was yes....

I would like to be able to freely smoke weed in my future new place and would have no problem in a regular apartment complex, but pickings are slim

So I've been avoiding basement apartments... But I was wondering if any Ents have been able to successfully smoke weed in a basement apartment (With or without private entrance), with landlords living above.

Do you use the towel at the door? or have other tips if I do end up living in a basement apartment.... with landlords living above...?:|

Note: I could live without smoking weed inside or just do what I do at home; take one hitters and blow it out the window but if I'm paying to live somewhere I want to smoke weed damnit!!
