(omfg so embarrassing i forgot the link... -_- http://www.megaupload.com/?d=B30KU1X0 it seems unstable at the moment, please give it time i will try to get it on soundcloud soon)
hey ents,
so i uploaded this before, but i noticed the link kept going on and off so i took it off. i tried uploading it on my soundcloud, but my file type isnt accepted i think. i tried my mixcloud, but im 6mb over my limit for uploading (can only upload 100mb max at a time). ive been trying a few times today to upload so i decided just to try megaupload again.
i'll just repaste what i wrote earlier.
Note: if you take the time to listen, any criticism would be much appreciated, in whatever form. my goal is improvement always.
Here's the repaste:
hello my fellow ents, i felt an introduction should be in order: so, i am an aspiring electronic dance music dj and i started mixing on virtual dj mid september 2010. i eventually moved on to using a low-end numark mixer at the futureshop my mom works at. for my birthday in january, my parents bought me a hercules console dj mixer and i now mix at home and also at futureshop to improve my skills. i enjoy blazing and mixing then listening to it sober and surprising myself. i also love to mix sober and listen to it high as it equally amazes me. i love music and mixing and hope to start playing at clubs. i made this mix with my girlfriend in mind first. to improve my skills and creativity, i like to challenge myself. in this day and age you must find creative ways to be creative. my best friend and i did a mix together while watching Underworld: Rise of the Lycans in 3d on my hd tv baked out of our balls. i had the subtitles on and a quarter way through changed it from muted to low volume - i know the movie well and we made a dark, progressive themed mix for the movie. back to what i was saying, i decided to set some goals while making this mix. i wanted a mix that my gf would love and, after seeing one of my most influential dj Marco V, i wanted to make a mix that i would want to play at a club if i was allowed to play whatever i want (i learned from my dj friends that some djs want you to mix certain styles if you're opening for them while others let you play whatever you want - just get the crowd going). i also wanted a mix that would be fun to do things to with your significant other, whatever that may be. =) any comments are welcome and appreciated. peace and love! _^
