A week ago there was a stabbing in my neighborhood. Immediately I had a very bad feeling that it was my friend who deals nearby. He got into selling weed and recently on his Snapchat story were xanex pills.
I will link the news report. However I want your input on this. He met with a local kid from the neighborhood who was very intoxicated and had no money for what they were meeting up for.

When they met up there was a struggle and it was later reported that he had tried to rob my friend and during the struggle the kid was stabbed 10 times. He later died in the hospital to his wounds.

It was reported that he tried to rob my friend with a broken bottle when the altercation happened. Right now my friend is locked up and will face trial December 19th.

Do you guys think he will be charged with murder in the 1st degree and be put away for life. I feel really bad because he was a very good kid and he was very quiet and never had a problem with anyone. I feel like it was out of self defense, however police are trying to charge him with murder. Please give inputs he was a very close friend and it sucks to see him behind bars.
