Howdy /r/trees!
I'm a long term smoker, but that's basically all I do, so I don't really know what else exists. That's what brings me here.
I have a father that is very sick. His airway/lungs are totally FUBAR'd from a lifetime sanding and painting cars, as well as tobacco use. Breathing is pretty tough for him, and he has a lot of pain and stress. It's a terminal situation, but long and slow, so I'd like to do something to help in whatever small way I can.
He's expressed interest in pot before, but obviously smoking isn't the right move for him. On the other hand, he's also a diabetic who mostly follows his diet, so I'd probably like to avoid all of the confectionery delights that edibles seem to generally be.
Is there another alternative of some kind? He mentioned something about an "oil" to me, but I am a boring white guy and blissfully unaware of everything.
Thanks for any suggestions you folks can offer!
