My grandmother decided that she wanted to through me a graduation party in Corpus Christy, Tx where she is from. I thought that it would be a lot of fun so I asked my best friENTs ( Who are my room mates and my family loves ) if they wanted to come with us because My grandmother had rented a big house for her side of the family to stay in. ( Were Mexican… there are a lot of us) Just before my FriENTs and I leave for Corpus our dealer called me and told me that he just got some OG Afghan Kush so we bought a couple of grams and hit the road for corpus. Background story: Most of my family smokes ( dad, stepmom, uncle, cousins) they just didn't know that I smoked. At the time I really didn't want them to know that I smoked because for whatever reason I didn't think they would like it. After getting back to the house early from the party no one was there and would not be there for a good 30 minutes so we decided to load a bowl and catch a buzz before everyone got back we had already smoked in our bedroom two times so I thought the smell would be cleared before they got back. So were sitting in our room at a good solid 5 faceTiming Our friENT who could not make it because of work when my step mom bursts through the door saying " What is that smell what are y'all smoking in here!?" Then my dad comes in and tell her to get out and says " I need to have a talk with my son and his friend" At this point I am just about ready to have a heart attack because it sounded like I was going to be in serious trouble. After about ten minutes of me lying and saying that we didn't have anything (pointless my dad defiantly know) I finally let my dad see our sack. The look on his eyes when he opened it and saw how orange it was, was priceless. He then FORCED me to smoke a bowl with him. One of the most awkward things I had ever had to do ( My father and I DIDNT have a good relationship) I was not given an option my dad was literally Forcing me to Smoke him out and I did not have a choice. Ten minutes later after my dad left my uncle comes into the room and says " WFT man you had good good this whole time and your letting us smoking reggie!" He then forces me to go outside and smoke a bowl with him. Again this is one of the most awkward things I had ever done., and he just kept aging the awkwardness on. After finishing the bowl I am at a 8 and decide " Well if they want to make things awkward I WILL MAKE THINGS REAL AWKARD so I pulled out a cigarette and start smoking it. The whole experience ended up being something really great. I got a chance to bond with a lot of my family because we all kind of had something in common and I got to spend one on one time with my Father, Step Mother, and Uncle while getting high with them. They weren't mad at me at all for smoking, they were mad that I was smoking in the house and that I was smoking kush meanwhile they were smoking reggie.

Now I have a much stronger bond with them and I love getting to talk to them, whereas before I hated having to talk to any of them. And I got an ounce of reggie to bring home for brownies which I shared with my family. Anytime we find a new strain we save some to smoke with each other or to sell to. And we always have the best conversations about anything and everything Cannabis, different strains, different pieces, they give me advice on smoking, and many other things. Tl;DR My family caught me smoking however because they all smoke it ended being a really great thing because cannabis has brought us all together and made us a stronger family
