This is a concept I have thought of for a while, but another post asking about a similar concept got me thinking and wondering if there would be interest in something like this or if such a thing exists already anywhere.
So the idea would be a business open to anyone who could legally possess cannabis, that rents space and equipment for people to process their own cannabis.
There could be rooms for drying & curing, tables and bins and supplies for trimming rolling, sifting, etc. You could rent rosin presses, hash washers and bags, freeze dryers, extraction and decarb equipment, etc. You could even have a solvent extraction area, but you'd certainly have to have tight training and supervision for that.
The business would not grow, buy, or sell any actual cannabis products, and would not allow on site consumption, so I don't think it would need to be licensed in any special way (which I'm sure would depend on the state). They would make their money renting space and equipment and selling supplies like parchment paper, scissors, containers, etc. they could also charge for consulting and helping people.
I am not considering opening this type of business, but could definitely see myself going there.
Thoughts?
Less is more. I think if you simply focused on rosin and dry sift you'd already provide something incredibly valuable to the community.
