So I live in a state where weed is illegal medicinally and recreationally. I’ve also had my fair share of bad weed and good weed (I have family in California if that helps lol). Usually when I go to the gas station I usually buy Delta-9 gummies but today I decided to get a preroll. I took a good look at it; it’s a California-grown premium whole hemp flower of the “Peaches & Cream” sativa strain; Made of THCA, CBD, and CBG (not sure what the last one is). I thought it was pretty legit (if it helps I’m like barely 22 and started smoking last year so I’m not experienced in legitimate weed detecting) and went ahead and bought it to try it out. As I’m smoking on the balcony I immediately notice the smell and the taste in my mouth. The smoke smelled of tobacco (or at least I think it did) and my mouth felt metal-y. The burnt piece of the roll up smelled that of burning wood chips in a barbecue. It didn’t help that by the time I was 70% down the joint I was high because it mixed in with the paranoia I was already feeling lol but I did end up taking apart the preroll to see what was in it. Like I said I’m not a weed connoisseur whatsoever but looking closely it didn’t look like the hemp flower in question was mixed in with any tobacco (see pictures; third slide is the weed from the new, unburnt joint), and in the unburnt preroll (it’s a two-pack) when I smell the joint the smell is a smell im familiar with when smoking weed. So of course, I’m extra confused. Usually when I have a similar metal-y taste it’s with blunts of course because it has a tobacco leaf. So, am I crazy? Am I smoking tobacco or is this a genuine hemp flower roll up? Please don’t judge..
