I know the idea of synthetic THC is very concerning for many ents but hear me out. My inspiration for this post is the work of Dr. Hamilton Morris and his research on the Bufo Toad who’s venom produces 5 meo DMT. He realized that people venturing out to Mexico to harvest the toad’s venom is putting a huge environmental strain in the area to the point where the toad’s very existence is in Jeopardy. The solution? Synthetically derived 5 meo DMT something that v basic pharmacology students could accomplish given legal access to precursors. Cannabis (especially legal cannabis) as it stands today is a huge environmental issue there’s so much waste from plant to final packaging which could be easier streamlined if we could pursue a similar approach. It’d take time research and legal hurdles but if we want a world our grand kids could live in we gotta take steps.
