While stuck in queue I thought I'd post some builds for newcomers who aren't sure how to build their characters.
Disclaimer: I don't have any data to back up the popularity or effectiveness of these builds, they are just what I've seen during my time playing kToS and on the forums.
Swordsman:
Two-Handed:
Swordsman -> Highlander -> Highlander -> Highlander -> Corsair/Hoplite/Peltasta -> Doppelsoeldner -> Doppelsoeldner
Swordsman -> Highlander -> Barbarian -> Barbarian -> Barbarian -> Doppelsoeldner -> Doppelsoeldner
Stats: 3:1:1 STR:DEX:CON, Full STR, Full DEX (have not tested this but Doppel 2 has some good base damage). Feel free to mess around with the stat ratio, your character will be viable as long as you don't put points into SPR and INT.
Spear:
Swordsman -> Peltasta/Highlander -> Hoplite -> Hoplite -> Corsair -> Corsair -> Dragoon
Swordsman -> Peltasta/Highlander -> Hoplite -> Cataphract -> Cataphract -> Cataphract -> Dragoon
Stats: 3:1 STR:CON, DEX is not needed due to Finestra's critical bonus
Archer
Archer -> Ranger -> Ranger -> Ranger -> Archer -> Falconer -> Musketeer
Stats: 3:1 STR/CON, Full STR. Like swordsman archers should avoid INT/SPR. DEX is personal preference, Archers get a natural crit rate bonus every 4 or 5 levels and Archer 2/Rogue have crit rate buffs.
Archer -> Quarrel Shooter -> Quarrel Shooter -> Quarrel Shooter -> Archer -> Archer -> Cannoneer/Musketeer
Archer -> Quarrel Shooter -> Quarrel Shooter -> Quarrel Shooter -> Wugushi -> Wugushi -> Cannoneer/Musketeer
Archer -> Ranger -> Ranger -> Ranger -> Fletcher -> Fletcher -> Fletcher
Archer -> Archer -> Sapper -> Wugushi -> Wugushi -> Sapper -> Cannoneer/Musketeer
Archer -> Quarrel Shooter -> Quarrel Shooter -> Quarrel Shooter -> Rogue -> Rogue -> Rogue
Wizard
DPS
Wizard -> Wizard -> Wizard -> Elementalist -> Elementalist -> Elementalist -> Warlock
Stats: 3:1 INT:CON, Full INT, Full CON, avoid STR/DEX/SPR
Wizard -> Pyromancer -> Pyromancer -> Linker -> Pyromancer -> Linker -> Featherfoot
Wizard -> Cryomancer -> Psychokino -> Elementalist -> Elementalist -> Elementalist -> Featherfoot/Warlock
Wizard -> Pyromancer -> Linker -> Linker/Pyromancer -> Sorcerer -> Sorcerer -> Featherfoot/Warlock
Support
Wizard -> Cryomancer -> Cryomancer -> Cryomancer -> Chronomancer -> Chronomancer -> Chronomancer
Stats: Full CON, 2:1 INT:CON, 1:1 CON:INT, 1:1 CON:SPR, I really dislike SPR but I think it can be useful for support wizards and clerics.
Wizard -> Pyromancer -> Linker -> Linker -> Thaumaturge -> Thaumaturge -> Thaumaturge
Wizard -> Cryomancer -> Psychokino -> Psychokino -> Psychokino -> Cryomancer -> Cryomancer -> Cryomancer
Wizard -> Wizard -> Wizard -> Linker/Thaumaturge -> Linker/Thaumaturge -> Runecaster -> Linker/Thaumaturge
Wizard -> Pyromancer -> Linker -> Linker -> Chronomancer -> Chronomancer -> Chronomancer
Cleric
Support
Cleric -> Priest -> Priest -> Priest -> Cleric -> any class -> Plague Doctor
Stats: Full CON, 2:1 INT:CON, 1:1 CON:INT, 1:1 CON:SPR
Cleric -> Cleric -> Dievdirbys -> Dievdirbys -> Dievdirbys -> any class -> Plague Doctor
Cleric -> Cleric -> Cleric/Dievdirbys -> Paladin -> Paladin -> Paladin -> Pardoner (Barrier support/Barrier scrolls)
Physical DPS
Cleric -> Priest -> Priest -> Priest -> Monk -> Monk -> Monk
Stats: 3:1:1 STR:DEX:CON, Full STR, 2:1 STR:DEX
Cleric -> Cleric -> Dievdirbys -> Dievdirbys -> Monk -> Monk -> Monk
Cleric -> Priest -> Priest -> Paladin -> Monk -> Paladin -> Paladin
Magic DPS
Cleric -> Krivis -> Krivis -> Krivis -> Cleric -> Druid -> Druid/Plague Doctor
Stats: 3:1 INT:CON, Full INT, Full CON
Cleric -> Cleric -> Dievdirbys -> Dirvdirbys -> Dievbirbys/Cleric/Krivis -> Druid -> Druid/Plague Doctor
Cleric -> Krivis -> Cleric -> Sadhu -> Sadhu -> Druid -> Druid/Plague Doctor
Many of these builds have missing points left over so feel free to pick whatever skills you want, I tried to select the most important skills for each build. Stats are quite flexible for each class, I personally like having high CON so take less CON if you feel comfortable without it. 3:1 is simply a guideline, you can go 4/5/6:1 or even no CON if you want. Again this is not a comprehensive list of builds, just ones that I have seen in game and on the forums. Good luck! (Still stuck in queue)
