Hello, I've been playing on kOBT's Zemyna server for the past week and wanted to share my thoughts on the beta so far.
I'm currently a level 132 barbarian that's hit a bit of an exp wall so here I am writing up this short guide for you guys and my own future reference. I played 100% solo and did not run a single dungeon until level 130. My build path is Swordsman -> Highlander -> Highlander -> Barbarian -> Barbarian. According to the job advancement menu, it took me 30 minutes to get to rank 2, 3 hours to get to rank 3, 6.5 hours to get to rank 4, and 14 hours to get to rank 5 (farmed a Lapis Katzbalger here which took about 3 hours).
Klaipeda or Orsha
Klaipeda is the better starting city, mainly because the main quest line is a long chain of quests that doesn't "break" until Rexipher's quest chain at level 63. Both starts run out of quests around level 35-40 if you don't grind so you'll need to do the other city's quests.
If you started Orsha, you'll run out of quests around level 35 (when you enter the castle) but you can't do the Klaipeda main questline unless you start from the beginning. This means that you're forced to go through the crystal mines which only give level 2 exp cards.
If you started Klaipeda, you can quest until Tenet Chapel and then jump over to the Orsha main quest line. Orsha's main quest is split up into smaller sections so at level 35 you can jump right into the level ~30-40 main quest line and start getting level 3 exp cards right away.
General Advice
Explore maps 100% if you don't know where all of the quests are.
Silver is a lot harder to come by because recipes only sell for a fraction of what they used to go for. You'll get the most silver through questing or selling in demand items on the marketplace (Vubbe fighter gauntlets are 800k each on Zemyna as I am writing this post).
If you have 4-5 TP, go buy some instant res crystals from the TP shop vendor (2 TP each), you need to buy them before you die unlike iCBT2.
When you're bouncing back and forth between Klaipeda an Orsha, finish a quest but don't turn it in. Use the quest warp to quickly travel between the quest lines.
Instead of iCoins, the Achievement vendor in Klaipeda gives you silver. She gives you around 3-5k per treasure chest. At level 130, I collected every chest that I had and got around 180k silver.
1-35 (Klaipeda)
I started Klaipeda and quested normally until level 35. I was running out of quests here so I went to do Orsha's main quest chain. You can get to Orsha by buying a warp scroll from the market (it's the one in korean text) or by joining random parties in the Nearby Party Info and using the party warp until you get to Orsha.
35-50 (Orsha)
I walked 3 maps north of Orsha to a jungle area (zone name is in korean) and picked up the main quest. I quested here until I finished the castle at around level 50.
50-65 (Klaipeda)
I went back to Klaipeda and finished the Tenet Chapel and Kvilas Forest quest lines. Did the gateway of the great king quest line until Akmens ridge then went back to Orsha.
65-75 (Orsha)
Starting from Lerolis Springs (2 maps away from the castle) I quested until the level 80 zone (korean text OP). From here, the Orsha quest line sort of splits off into two branches.
75-90 (Klaipeda/Gytis)
I went back to Akmens ridge and quested until Masoleum 1F, then I did the Gytis settlement quest line all the way through Tenants Farm.
90-100 (Klaipeda/Orsha)
Finished royal masoleum and went back to Orsha's level 80 zone. I did the whole left path with zone levels ranging from 84-100. The final boss in the level 100 area is probably the hardest quest boss that I've fought so far. This zone leads into Fedimian.
100-105 (Orsha)
Went back to Orsha's level 80 zone and finished the path on the right
82 Feretory Hills -> 85 Mochia Forest -> 88 Sutatis Trade Route -> 103 Galeed Plain -> 106 Fasika Plateau -> 110 Manahas -> 113 Genra Field
105-115 (Klaipeda)
96 Stele Road -> 99 Goddess' Ancient Garden -> 103 Escanciu Village -> 107 Fedimian Suburbs
If you think you might have trouble with Mage Tower, get the Riena cloth set (MDEF) from the quests here.
106 Entrance of Kateen Forest -> 109 Owl Burial Ground -> 112 Polinkis Forest -> 114 Saknis Plains -> 120 Dvasia Peak -> 123 Sunset Flag Forest
115-128 (Fedimian)
Mage Tower 1F-5F (113-126)
121 Starving Demon's Way -> 124 Pilgrim's Path -> 127 Altar Way -> 130 Forest of Prayer -> 133 Apsimesti Crossroads
128-130 (Fedimian)
If you did a few dungeons then you might already be level 130. I was still a bit short so I had to do the main quest chain at the cathedral. I couldn't do the side quests after the Main Chamber (level 137) because I was too low level but the main quest line was easy and got me enough exp cards to get to level 130.
130
I plan on running the dungeon a few more times and then going back through the cathedral, this time doing all of the blue quests. I'm not sure what level I'll be at that point but probably somewhere around 140-142. On iCBT this is when you go to demon prison and grind until level 165. I don't know if I'm going to be doing that again because the low exp rates, high ping, and language barrier is going to make it a huge pain in the ass to do demon prison parties for 20-25 levels. I'll probably just quest again starting from Greene Manor and see how far I can get without saving exp cards.
Final thoughts
With Orsha being added, the leveling experience is actually a lot smoother even though the exp rates are low (1x?). You'll never run out of quests from 1-130 so there's basically no grinding until demon prison. With the current exp rates, grinding is utterly inferior to questing, I spent literally 20 minutes grinding out the last 1.6% class experience I needed for rank 5 at Forest of Prayer. Even running dungeons is worse exp than questing if you have a slow group i.e. no linker :^). For iOBT or release, I hope they raise the exp rates or MOB DENSITY at least for higher level areas because killing mobs is the name of the game and it shouldn't feel like a chore.
