As of the creation of this post, the current beta testers for the ICBT2 has reached past 150,000. Because of this, I have become worried that Tree of Savior's current map/channel system won't be able to sustain the amount of people needing to level and train through the maps.
I'm sure many of you ICBT1 testers remember in lower level maps, there were exp battles between parties trying to KS each other because grinding spots were simply over populated while areas were few and far between or the monster spawn rates were just too low. With the increase of testers from a mere 1-2k to 150 , won't this affect the ability of people to train? Exp is given to the party or person who lands the last hit and unless they change this, it's going to be overly competitive and almost outright impossible to gain any amount of reasonable experience. The way it worked in ICBT1 was that if there were more than X many players in a channel, extra channels would be created to compensate but I don't necessarily know if IMC has capped the number of channels per map let alone has prepared enough back-end support to handle the load.
Are my concerns rational or are they unfounded?
