Bought the house 3 years ago. A tree was growing against my back yard fence. It was about 15’ tall and some of the limbs had grown over the fence covering a small part of my neighbor’s yard. I came home yesterday to find that they had, instead of cutting the limbs in their yard, they cut the main trunk at 7’ tall (removed the top 8’ of tree).
Yes, the tree is RIGHT against the fence fully on my side. Yes, limbs had grown over my neighbor’s property. But I’m wondering why they didn’t cut the limbs over their yard instead of cutting and stunting the whole tree.
What are my options?
