The variant releases are not just about sales and greed

Post Body

They're about smacking down women (and women only) who have pissed her off.

Her blocking Billie is due to the Damon Ablarn drama. One of the greatest hit makers to ever live compared her unfavourably to Billie, and then Billie invited him on stage while her brother made a joke at Taylor's expense. TS took that personally. This release was about proving herself to be 'better' than Billie.

Her blocking of Charli is all about Matty and Gabriette. Charli introduced them, Gabriette is a friend of hers. She can't hit Gabriette in the charts, so she goes for Charli instead - the fact that Charli introduced Matty to Gabriette is just gravy at this point.

She wants to block Beyonce because the Kanye moment lives rent free in her head.

In conclusion - the variants this time around are not about greed. They are a tableau of misogyny, insecurity, jealousy, misery and bitterness, coming from one of the richest women in the world.

TS is like a modern Shakespearean villain at this point. The meme 'TS or Shakespeare' should be pointing out her actions vs the actions of Iago, Macbeth or Richard III, and seeing if swifties can tell which is which.

In her mind Taylor thinks she’s the only one who can be on top
