I'm in need of advice.

I have to redo the flooring on my travel trailer. The laminate flooring I bought is very thin. I'm thinking of putting an underlayment under it. Have anybody else done this? If so, should I glue it down or staple it down? And if I should glue it down, what type of glue should I use? Any advice is welcome
